What to know about OHSAA's 1st girls flag football state tournament – Canton Repository

The field is set and the teams are ready for the inaugural OHSAA Girls Flag Football State Tournament on Saturday, May 16 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
Eight teams will compete for the honor of being the first OHSAA state champion beginning at noon.
The tournament will feature the top four teams from the regional tournaments played earlier in the week. Those tournaments were sponsored by the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals.

The four advancing teams from the Browns tournament were Madison, Grafton Midview, Burton Berkshire and Nordonia. The four teams to advance from the Bengals tournament were Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame, Cincinnati Princeton, Cincinnati St. Ursula and Hamilton Badin.
Madison won the Browns regional, while Badin won the Bengals regional.
Spectrum will have live coverage of the state tournament. All games will be streamed at SpectrumNewsApp.com and OHSAA.tv and the state championship game, scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, will be televised on Spectrum News 1.
Admission is free to all games Saturday.
There are currently 162 schools in Ohio that sponsor girls flag football. The Browns, Bengals, Pro Football Hall of Fame and OHSAA are all collaborating to conduct the state tournament.
