BYU freshman AJ Dybantsa is reportedly among the prospects invited to attend the 2026 NBA draft from the green room at the Barclays Center, according to Jeremy Woo of ESPN.
The first group of players to receive invitations was voted on by teams with first-round picks, typically those they believe will be drafted early. Last year, all 24 prospects invited to the green room had their names called in the first round.
The NBA is expected to invite at least 10-12 additional players, based on teams’ final rankings and player availability. Those prospects invited often take in the festivities alongside their families, friends and other individuals close to them.
In addition to Dybantsa, Kansas forward Darryn Peterson, Duke forward Cam Boozer, North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson, Illinois guard Keaton Wagler, Louisville guard Mikel Brown Jr. and Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr. were also among those invited to the green room.
Dybantsa is the front-runner to be the No. 1 overall pick (minus-500), according to the BetMGM Sportsbook, ahead of Peterson (plus-375) and Boozer (plus-1500). Wilson, Wagler, Brown and Acuff are expected to be the next players off the board in some order.
The draft features a two-night format for the second consecutive year, with the first round scheduled for June 23 and the second round for June 24 in Brooklyn, New York.
