A shelter-in-place order is in effect for part of Raymond as law enforcement searches for the suspect in the shooting of an officer.
State Police say just after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, law enforcement were called to a home on Ham Road for reports that a man was shooting at his family members. Officers found the suspect and that is when the suspect fired at shots at the officers, hitting one.
That officer was taken to the hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
State Police say the gunman ran from the scene. He is described as a middle-aged white man who is 5 feet 11 inches tall and 202 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes. He is believed to be on foot.
Anyone who sees someone matching this description in the area should call 911 immediately. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

News 9 Investigates spoke to the mother of the alleged shooter. She told us her 38-year-old son suffers from severe mental health issues.
She also told News 9 this incident started Saturday afternoon when family members went to the home to check on the suspect, and he shot at them with a high-powered rifle. They were not hurt.
The suspect’s mother also said on Thursday her home suffered a fire that is considered suspicious.
WMUR crews on the scene have heard gunshots since they arrived.
State police and police departments from around Rockingham and Strafford counties have responded to the scene. A New Hampshire State Police helicopter is also on en route.
