Gill plays the bass guitar, and despite studying music in college, he said he was prepared to leave music behind to pursue a religious calling. But it was his father who convinced him to bring his bass to seminary, where he learned he didn’t have to give up his guitar to become a priest.

Now that Berkley voters resoundingly rejected an override that would have raised taxes in order to avoid layoffs and cuts to town services — how will the town close the budget gap?
Berkley Selectmen Chair Tabitha McCrohan said one possible option on the horizon is new commercial development to bring in revenue to stave off further cuts. But that would require zoning changes that voters would also need to approve.

First Light Casino Bar Manager Nolan Frye said that the goal for the Taunton casino’s bar is continued growth.
“We’re working on adding more drinks right now, hopefully within the next month or so,” he told the Gazette on Tuesday, May 26. “Hopefully it’ll just keep getting bigger, especially when we expand to the bigger casino.”
The bar at the First Light casino features built-in gaming machines so that patrons can keep playing even while enjoying a drink.
