WBD Lat Am lands River Monsters, Worlds Apart from ITVS for Discovery channels – C21media

WBD’s acquisition includes long-running nature show River Monsters
Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) has acquired over 60 hours of unscripted programming for its Discovery, Discovery Home and Discovery Health channels in Latin America from ITV Studios (ITVS).
Programmes in the deal include treasure hunt format Worlds Apart (5×60’), the original US version of dating series My Mom, Your Dad (8×60’), three seasons of long-running nature show River Monsters (19×60’) and S1 of Wiser Films’ motor series Dream Car Fixers (8×60’).
Also in the deal areS1 of ITVS-owned Boom Cymru’s dermatology show Skin A&E (10×60’) and the first season of Ashley Cain into the Danger Zone (6×60’), which sees the former footballer immerse himself in extreme male cultures to explore issues affecting young men born into worlds of criminality.
The deal was brokered by Catalina Ramirez, VP of sales for the US and Latin America at ITVS.
