Good morning! We have such a nice morning for Election Day. As you drop the kids off at the bus stop this morning, you will want the bigger coat. Temperatures will stay in the 40s for the majority of the morning with nothing more than a few clouds.
Mostly clear conditions will hold all day long, but we will at least warm up this afternoon into the 70s.
Although we are warmer than average because of the ridge building into our region, there is a cold front on the way. Today the Ark-La-Tex region has the chance of stronger storms capable of producing damaging winds and an isolated tornado. If you have friends or family in those areas, be sure to tell them to stay weather aware!
When the cold front gets a bit closer to our backyards, we will see that dense cloud cover building in late tonight and early Wednesday.
Showers will start to move in Wednesday afternoon and become widely scattered in the late afternoon and early evening hours. If you have outdoor plans, be sure to grab the umbrella!
Today will be our last dry day until the weekend! Daily showers resume Wednesday through Friday. Have a great day, and don’t forget to get out and vote!
