CASPER, Wyo. — Special Olympics Wyoming is hosting the 38th annual Festival of Trees Gala and Auction on Nov. 19 and Teddy Bear Tea the day before, both at a new location: the Ford Wyoming Center.
Both events will “spread joy, be festive, and support the incredible athletes of Special Olympics Wyoming,” according to a press release.
Teddy Bear Tea will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. and is free to the public. Anyone is welcome to come and view decorated trees, meet Santa Claus, eat holiday treats and make holiday crafts.
The Teddy Bear Tea event will be accepting donations of hats, mittens, scarves and teddy bears to be added to the auction tree for the following night’s event.
The next day, the Festival of Trees Gala and Auction will open its doors at 5:30 p.m. It is set to include hors d’oeuvres and desserts from local restaurants, a silent auction and decorated holiday trees. There will also be a video screening of Casper Special Olympics’ Team Wyoming’s trip to the 2026 USA Games in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In addition to the silent auction, a Golden Ticket raffle winner will be drawn out of 150 contestants at the Festival of Trees. The winner will receive a vacation package to France, Napa Valley, Cabo or Kentucky. Golden tickets can be purchased for $100 online. The winning ticket holder does not have to be present at the Festival of Trees to receive their prize.
Tickets for the Festival of Trees Gala and Auction can be purchased online for $50 for an individual or $75 for a couple.
Both events are still in need of volunteers to help decorate, set up, and otherwise assist. Anyone interested in volunteering can sign up here.
All funds collected from the events will go towards Special Olympics Wyoming to support their athletes compete in sports throughout the state.
