AUBURN — Duke Smith, a rising redshirt freshman, is no longer with the Auburn football program, a team spokesperson confirmed to the Montgomery Advertiser on Tuesday, June 23.
Smith is no longer listed on the program’s roster. He’s the second player to depart the program this offseason, joining safety Jack Luttrell.
In Auburn‘s A-Day game, Smith had 84 receiving yards and a touchdown pass. He out-did his totals as a true freshman, where he played in four games. He recorded just one reception in that span, and it went for negative yards.
Smith was a standout at Southside High School, where he recorded 2,523 total yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior.
