World Cup fever has fully engulfed the Greater Boston area.
Gillette Stadium (which, for sponsorship reasons, will be known as “Boston Stadium” for the duration of the tournament) hosted its second of seven matches on Tuesday, June 16, in which Norway scored a 4-1 win over Iraq led by a brace from tournament debutant Erling Haaland. Now, the third match awaits as Scotland prepares to take on Morocco at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 19 in their respective second of three Group C matches.
The Scots, playing in their second straight match in Foxboro, currently top Group C with 3 points and a +1 goal differential following a 1-0 win over Haiti on June 13. The Atlas Lions, meanwhile, are joint second in the group with Brazil with a point each following a 1-1 draw between the two on the same day down at the New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium). A Scotland win combined with a loss for the Seleção against Haiti would see the Scots win the group, while a Scotland loss combined with a Brazil win would see the five-time World Cup champions overtake top spot and Morocco take second. If that’s the result, or if either or both sides draw, the Brazil-Scotland showdown on June 24 at Miami Stadium (Hard Rock Stadium) will determine who wins Group C.
With the Tartan Army already showcasing its vocal (and instrumental) strength, and the Atlas Lions ready to roar, here’s how you can still follow the action if you can’t make it to Foxboro.
FOX holds the English-language US broadcast rights for all 2026 FIFA World Cup matches. The Morocco vs. Scotland match will be aired on the main FOX channel (WFXT for Boston, WNAC for Providence/New Bedford) and be streamed on both the FOX Sports and FOX One apps. Viewers can also watch the match via a free trial with Fubo.

The FIFA Fan Festival Boston, which is being held at City Hall Plaza (1 City Hall Square Boston), is broadcasting all group stage matches for free, while holding live entertainment, music and activities throughout the day with food and merchandise options, through June 27. While attendance is free, those looking to attend must pre-register online for a pass due to limited space.
Additionally, the City of Quincy and Mayor Tom Koch will be hosting its first of two World Cup watch parties in Kilroy Square (25 Cottage Ave) on Friday, June 19. Festivities begin at 2 p.m., and both the United States vs. Australia match at 3 p.m. and the Morocco vs. Scotland match at 6 p.m. will be shown, with the party ending following the latter match. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Evviva Trattoria, Espresso East Coffee & Co. and The Fours.
