It is a truth universally acknowledged that being a Democrat and living in a bluer county means you’re likely healthier than Republicans in redder areas. Likewise, conservatives are thought to have better mental health than their liberal peers.
And so it goes with partisan interpretations of the host of studies trying to unpack the relationship between political ideology and health.
