WonderFest is being held at the Crowne Plaza on June 4-5, 2022.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — From towering spaceship models to behind-the-scenes special effects, WonderFest will feature displays, workshops and fan-favorite franchises during its two-day event.
WonderFest runs May 30-31 at the Crowne Plaza Louisville from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with evening events also planned.
One of the biggest draws is the Amazing Model Contest, featuring hundreds of detailed sci-fi and fantasy creations.
A major attraction this year is a recreation of the original Star Wars model shop, giving visitors a glimpse into how practical movie effects were created.
Oscar-winning makeup artist Ve Neill, known for creating iconic looks including Captain Jack Sparrow and Beetlejuice, is among the featured guests, along with actors and creators tied to Star Trek and Lost in Space.
Daily admission is $40 for adults and $15 for children ages 4 to 12.
