Emily Blunt Jokingly Reveals How John Krasinski Nearly Gave Her the "Ick" – E! News

Emily Blunt playfully told Jimmy Fallon that her husband John Krasinski’s recent fashion choices almost turned her off to him, saying one particular garment “gives me the ick.”
The Devil wears… turtlenecks?
At least, that’s what Emily Blunt thought when her husband John Krasinski chose his outfit for the Golden Globes earlier this year.
“When John pitched me this outfit and he was like, ‘And it’s a turtleneck,’” she explained on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on April 28, “I had to compose my face into, like, impassive, ‘Oh, that sounds great,’ you know?’”
Indeed, on the award show’s red carpet, John sported a black turtleneck with a suit jacket while Emily donned a white dress and cape. The Devil Wears Prada 2 star—who shares daughters Hazel, 12, and Violet, 9, with the The Office actor—admitted that she found the final look quite dashing. 
“I thought he looked like Michael Caine,” she confessed. “He looked so cool. ‘60s vibe. But normally a man in a turtleneck gives me the ick.”
Although she may not exactly be the haute couture expert she plays in The Devil Wears Prada, Emily has her own rules when it comes to fashion, revealing her other menswear no-nos.
“I don’t mind a James Dean leather jacket,” she detailed, “but [not] if we’re looking at a dad leather jacket, where it’s a little bomber jacket and it’s very shiny and tight and cropped.”
And while her family may not always like hearing her styling advice, they are big fans of her work in the fashion-forward film and are looking forward to the sequel, which premieres May 1.
“My kids saw [The Devil Wears Prada] for the first time maybe a year or so ago, partly ‘cause their friends are very into it,” the Smashing Machine actress recently told E! News. “They just love it.”
She also revealed her husband’s praise for the new sequel, divulging, “He loves this one. He’s a massive fan of the first movie, so I think everyone was thrilled.”

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski met in 2008, where John says that it was love at first sight.
On a visit to The Ellen Degeneres Show, he said, "I met her and I was so nervous. I was like, 'Oh god, I think I'm going to fall in love with her.' As I shook her hand I went, ‘I like you.'"
The couple—who wed in 2010—make an appearance in 2013 at the Critics' Choice Awards.
