At 3:40 p.m. officials expected the road to remain closed, possibly for another hour
WALTON COUNTY, GA (April 24, 2026) – Walton County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Craig League reports that just after 2 p.m. Friday, crews responded to the scene of a two-vehicle head-on crash on Highway 186 in Good Hope at Jim Edmondson Road.
League said one of the vehicles was a dump truck that caught on fire, shutting down the street at the intersection. Injuries were reported.
Georgia State Patrol was called to the scene. An update will be given as more information becomes available.
