Breaking: Voca set to field disgraced matchfixer retchy for PGL Bucharest 2026 – Dust2.us

Dust2.us has learned from multiple sources that Voca are set to field recently unbanned matchfixer Sebastian "retchy" Tropiano for PGL Bucharest 2026 as a stand-in for Gage "Infinite" Green after the player was turned away from entry into the Schengen Area for an undisclosed passport/documentation issue.
It is understood that retchy is being fielded after Voca listed him as one of their substitutes for the event alongside head coach Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen, presumably with no intention of fielding the long-retired player. However, Infinite’s passport issues have forced their hand to a degree, with retchy being selected over SEMPHIS despite zero officials in Counter-Strike 2 nor any maps on HLTV for five years.
For context, rectchy alongside Kevin "4pack" Pryzpasniak were banned by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) in April 2021 after an investigation into a conspiracy by the duo to commit matchfixing in the ESEA Mountain Dew League (now the ESL Challenger League). This investigation was aided by leaked audio acquired by Dust2.us in which the duo can be heard discussing their plans to fix a match against Russian Canadians in a way that avoided suspicion from ESEA and the wider community.
Voca’s Carson "nosraC" O’Reilly was also heard uttering a single sentence in the recording and was sanctioned by ESIC with a 111 day ban for failing to report the integrity breach to ESIC.
After being banned by ESIC, retchy and 4pack effectively disappeared from the CS community, with retchy not playing any matches on FACEIT from December 2022 to May 2024 and then taking a separate break from May 2025 to April 2026. Along with barely being active on FACEIT in the past six months, he also has had zero recent competitive experience as his last official was on March 28th, 2021 in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
As such, he heads into a tier-one competition with zero professional experience in Counter-Strike 2, raising serious questions about why Voca would list a retired, disgraced player as their substitute for their largest event to date. This serious lapse in judgment may cost the team as they head into the Swiss Stage of the $1.25m event.
For PGL Bucharest 2026, Voca will field:
United States Wyatt "snav" Phillippi
United States Carson "nosraC" O’Reilly
United States Paytyn "junior" Johnson
United States Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott
Canada Sebastian "retchy" Tropiano (Stand-in)
Canada Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen (Coach)
retchy and Voca will debut in PGL Bucharest 2026 against NRG this morning at 06:00AM.
