George Mason University College of Public Health Earns National Recognition in U.S. News Graduate Programs – George Mason University

The College of Public Health at George Mason University has earned national recognition across multiple disciplines in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings, highlighting the college’s commitment to expanding access to high-quality interprofessional education. 
The college rose five spots in Public Health Schools and is now ranked #63, among the Top 40 public institutions nationally, and #1 in Virginia. 
Additional program rankings include: 
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN): Ranked #18 nationally, placing it among the Top 20 master’s programs in the country, and #1 in Virginia. 
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP): Ranked #33 nationally, placing it among the Top 40 DNP programs, and #1 in Virginia. 
Master of Health Administration (MHA): Ranked #35 nationally, placing it among the Top 40 programs nationally, Top 25 public institutions, and #2 in Virginia. 
Public Health School: Ranked #63 nationally, #1 in Virginia (tied), and #2 among public programs in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region (tied).  
“Rankings are a reflection of what makes our College of Public Health distinctive—expanding access to excellence,” said Dean Melissa J. Perry, ScD, MHS, MBA. “Our national rankings demonstrate that students do not have to choose between opportunity and quality. At George Mason, we are committed to preparing a diverse, workforce-ready generation of public health and health care leaders by delivering programs that remain accessible, innovative, and deeply connected to the communities we serve.” 
These rankings reflect continued momentum across the college’s academic programs and reinforce its leadership in preparing graduates to meet critical workforce needs in healthcare, public health, and health systems leadership. 
George Mason was named a “High-Access, High-Earnings” university by the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation.  With a strong emphasis on upward mobility, accessibility, innovation, and real-world impact, the College of Public Health continues to attract students seeking rigorous, nationally recognized programs that are closely aligned with today’s most pressing public health challenges.
