MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A protest in downtown Mobile was held against the war in Iran and other policies by the Trump administration.
Saturday’s protest was staged by Indivisible Mobile in connection with the No Kings Movement. The demonstration also protested what it called unlawful actions by ICE and Customs and Border Protection against U.S. citizens and immigrants with and without legal status, and other issues.
“We’re saying, hey, we don’t want a war with Iran. We want money for education and jobs not for war and occupation, and then me personally, I want Mobile for Palestine,” Ahmed Zaitoun said.
The local protest was part of protests around the country.
