Two crowns and one bow tie set the tone for the evening. On November 2, Dayanara Torres and Andrea Meza, both former Miss Universe titleholders, joined Venezuelan TV host Boris Izaguirre to emcee the Latina Powerhouse 100 Gala presented by ¡HOLA! Americas. From the first moment the three shared the stage, it was clear the chemistry was real.
The setting matched the occasion. Dayanara Torres arrived looking every inch the beauty queen. The Miss Universe 1993 chose a gown in rich purple satin, cut close to the body with a plunging neckline and a flawless floor-length drape that showed off her figure. Structured sleeves gave the look balance and polish.
She kept the rest of the look refined, pairing the dress with a statement cuff and diamond earrings, neutral makeup, and sleek hair swept straight back.
Andrea Meza went in a more modern direction, and it paid off. The Mexican Miss Universe 2020 wore a metallic knit gown that caught the light with every step, creating an almost hypnotic effect that accentuated her silhouette.
A soft champagne-toned bodice flowed into a cascading skirt of golden fringe, channeling the shimmer of Hollywood’s Golden Age with a contemporary edge. Wisely, she kept her makeup and hair understated and let the dress do the talking.
Boris Izaguirre supplied the evening’s menswear moment in a beige suit with clean lines and an impeccable cut.
The Venezuelan host broke up the tonal look with a black bow tie and matching dark shoes, a minimalist, elegant choice that still reflected the vibrant, versatile personality he’s known for. The result struck that rare balance between restraint and originality.
