[VOVWORLD] – National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife will attend the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-152) and conduct several bilateral activities in Turkey from Wednesday to Saturday.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Turkey Dang Thi Thu Ha said the top legislator\u2019s IPU attendance highlights Vietnam\u2019s foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development, diversification and multilateralisation of international relations. They implement key directives issued by the Politburo and the Secretariat on foreign affairs and international integration, and multilateral diplomacy, including parliamentary diplomacy, she added.
IPU-152, the Ambassador said, is the largest global gathering of parliamentary leaders in 2026. Since joining IPU in 1979, Vietnam has been an active and responsible member, pioneering in the promotion of the Union\u2019s cooperative frameworks.
Chairman Man will attend the opening ceremony and deliver a speech at the general debate themed \u201cNurturing hope, securing Peace and ensuring justice for future generations\u201d, where he will present Vietnam\u2019s position on global and regional issues.<\/p>\n
