Researchers stress this is a correlation, not causation.<br \/>Possible links include blood vessel damage, chronic inflammation, and insulin-related changes in the brain. A debated theory connecting Alzheimer\u2019s to insulin resistance, sometimes called \u201ctype 3 diabetes\u201d, remains unproven.<br \/><strong>Alzheimer\u2019s vs. Dementia<\/strong><br \/>Alzheimer\u2019s is a specific brain disease, while dementia is a broader category of symptoms.
