She sees it as a foolproof way to channel her creativity into something limitless. Her latest single &#8220;Machine&#8221; is an example of that exact thing.<br \/>The Texas-bred artist has been making music with her older brother<a href=\"https:\/\/www.melodicmag.com\/?s=+RJ+Johnson+\"> RJ Johnson <\/a>since she was 14, eventually settling on an alt-pop image that she has found extremely cathartic. colby! has also found that her dyslexia has helped shape her songwriting voice, rather than hinder it. <br \/>&#8220;Machine&#8221; begins with an acoustic guitar opening into a gritty, drum-filled production through the last notes. She shares more about  the song:<br \/><em>&#8220;So it&#8217;s a very passive aggressive song, and we love that. I was going for kind of an M.I.A. vibe, and it leans more into the punk sound I&#8217;ve been wanting to explore for a while<\/em>.&#8221;<br \/>colby! has been named one to watch by <em>Fault <\/em>and <em>Galore<\/em>.
