Can\u2019d Aid<\/a>, which was established in 2013, is an independent and publicly funded 501(c)3 nonprofit. The organization\u2019s mission is to \u201cprovide tools and access for under-resourced communities to lead healthy, active, and creative lives.\u201d To this end Can\u2019d Aid has developed a robust Instruments for Change program, which has partnered with a variety of individuals and organizations to provide underserved schools with over 4400 musical instruments nationwide.
March is national Music in Our Schools Month, which has prompted Can\u2019s Aid\u2019s first ever Music Matters Auction<\/a>. As the nonprofit explains, \u201cEvery one of your favorite musicians had to start somewhere, and for many of them, that somewhere was music class. Music in Our Schools Month exists to raise awareness around the importance of music education for all children\u2014and to remind folks that all children should have access to music at school. In fact, research shows that music education is vital for kids\u2019 cognitive development, social-emotional, motor, language and literacy skills.\u201d
\u00a0The Music Matters Auction is now underway and will continue through March 31. Items include:

\u2022         Ukulele Signed by Tyler Childers and the Food Stamps
\u2022         Annual Pass to Mission Ballroom in Denver \u2013 Two tickets to every show for a year
\u2022         Baja Wondergrass in Baja California Sur, Mexico \u2013 Two GA 3-day passes
\u2022         Healing Appalachia in Ashland, Kentucky \u2013 Two VIP passes with camping
\u2022         Revel in Park in Winterpark, Colorado \u2013 Two GA 2-Day passes
\u2022         Rocky Mountain Folks Fest in Lyons, Colorado \u2013 Two GA 3-day passes with camping
\u2022         RockyGrass in Lyons, Colorado \u2013 Two GA 3-Day passes with camping
\u2022         Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Telluride, Colorado \u2013 Two GA 4-day Passes
\u2022         20th Annual Mountain Song Festival in Brevard, North Carolina \u2013 Two weekend passes with lodging

Bidding will close at 7:00 PM MDT on March 31.
