The city run-off election is happening Tuesday, June 23. Here&#8217;s your Run-Off Election Day Survival Guide\u2122 (just kidding, it&#8217;s not trademarked). <br \/><strong>In the mayor&#8217;s race,<\/strong> a field of five has been narrowed down to two. Christine Erickson and Jamie Smith are both hoping to snag the mayor&#8217;s seat. Both candidates sat down with Sioux Falls Simplified, the Sioux Falls League of Women Voters, Sioux Falls Live and The Dakota Scout for a televised debate. <br \/>You can watch a replay of the debate and find a written summary of candidate responses here: <br \/><strong>The other race that&#8217;ll be on every single ballot is the At-Large A City Council seat. <\/strong>Three candidates initially sought the seat, and when none clinched 50% of the vote, the top two advanced to the run-off. <br \/>For a lot of you, yes. <br \/>But, if you live in central or southeast Sioux Falls, you&#8217;ve got to pick your next City Council member, too. <br \/><strong>In the Central District, <\/strong>two candidates emerged from a crowded field: Zak Okuwe and Zach DeBoer.  <br \/><strong>In the Southeast District, <\/strong>Sara Pankonin and Mike Crane beat out Brady Kerkman to make it to the run-off election. <br \/>Election Day is June 23, and polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.<br \/>You&#8217;ll vote at<strong> the same place you voted on June 2,<\/strong> so if this is your &#8220;second rodeo&#8221; \u2013 you know what to do. <br \/>If you didn&#8217;t vote the first time around and want to now \u2013 no problem (and good for you!). You&#8217;ll just want to log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/vip.sdsos.gov\/VIPLogin.aspx?ref=sfsimplified.com\" rel=\"noreferrer\">Secretary of State&#8217;s Voter Information Portal<\/a> to find your precinct. <br \/><b><strong style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">You&#8217;re out of luck<\/strong><\/b><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">&nbsp;this time.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">South Dakota doesn&#8217;t allow same-day voting. BUT, if you&#8217;re not registered to vote,&nbsp;<\/span><b><strong style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">it&#8217;s still worth registering now<\/strong><\/b><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">&nbsp;so you know you&#8217;re all set next time a big election rolls around \u2013 which won&#8217;t be long. South Dakota&#8217;s general election (where we&#8217;ll pick the next governor, among other things) is in November.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">Nothing \u2013 but&nbsp;<\/span><b><strong style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">the process will go quicker for you if you have your ID.<\/strong><\/b><br \/><b><strong style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">If you don&#8217;t have an ID, you can still vote<\/strong><\/b><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">. You&#8217;ll just have to sign an affidavit saying that you&#8217;re you.
