Sometimes, we forget how to have fun. During the week, we\u2019re busy with work and daily responsibilities; over the weekend, we’re so preoccupied with all the things we didn’t have time to do during the week \u2014 and then overwhelmed by the countless options of what to watch<\/a> \u2014 that even entertainment starts to feel like a chore. But why do we watch things if not for pure, unadulterated fun?
And fun is taking over our screens this weekend. Word-of-mouth hit Widow\u2019s Bay <\/em>wraps its first season with a buzzy finale that\u2019s equal parts terrifying and delightful, while Toy Story 5 <\/em>hits theaters<\/a> to remind us of the magic of childhood and play. Of course, we\u2019re also getting into the thick of group stages at the World Cup, including an all-important match for Team USA. Adults playing a children\u2019s game professionally? That\u2019s basically the epitome of fun.\u00a0
For the week of June 18 to June 24, here are the five movies, TV shows, and events that will have everyone talking.

Woody, Buzz, and Jessie are back, and, this time, they\u2019re set to face their biggest challenge yet in Toy Story 5<\/a><\/strong><\/em>: tech. When 8-year-old Bonnie receives a Lilypad tablet, the beloved group of toys tailspin into an existential crisis as they get less attention and affection. For a lot of us, our journey with Pixar movies<\/a> began 31 years ago with the animation studio’s first feature film Toy Story<\/em> so we’ve grown up alongside the beloved franchise. Come for the nostalgia, and stay for the heartfelt emotions and gentle-yet-thought-provoking examination of play and imagination in our digital-obsessed world. Greta Lee<\/a>, Conan O\u2019Brien<\/a>, and Craig Robinson<\/a> join the voice cast alongside returning favorites Tom Hanks<\/a>, Tim Allen<\/a> and Joan Cusack<\/a>.\u00a0

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is moving into its second week of action. After a dominating win in their opening match, USA is heading to Seattle to take on Australia, a team that also won its first game. The winner is almost certain to clinch first place<\/a> in the group (give or take a few mathematical technicalities), so this one is sure to be as tense as it is exhilarating. Even though the USA is one of the event\u2019s host countries and soccer (ahem, football<\/em>) is the biggest sport in the world, it\u2019s still not very popular here. Perhaps a long, competitive run and some star-making performances (we\u2019re looking at you Chris Richards and Christian Pulisic), could spark a passion for the sport that extends beyond the World Cup.

When to watch: <\/strong>Streaming now
Where to watch: <\/strong>Apple TV<\/a>\u00a0
It\u2019s been a while since we\u2019ve had a show that was actually exciting to follow week to week or in a binge (we\u2019d argue The Pitt <\/em>Season 2<\/a> was the last one), but, for those in the know, Widow\u2019s Bay<\/a><\/strong> <\/em>has slipped out from under the radar to fill that void. The Apple TV horror-comedy follows locals on a small New England island that may or may not be haunted, and, anecdotally, it seems as if more and more people start talking about it with every episode. The finale just dropped (will Mayor Tom, played by Matthew Rhys<\/a>, be able to break the island\u2019s curse as a huge storm rages on?), which means now is the perfect time to get caught up if you want to get in on the conversation and <\/em>avoid spoilers. With Season 2 already confirmed<\/a>, you might even end up being a trendsetter in your group when you become obsessed with the show and inevitably end up recommending it to all of your friends.

Where to watch: <\/strong>HBO\/HBO Max<\/a>
OG fans have been chasing the thrills of Game of Thrones<\/em><\/a> <\/em>Sundays for years. Until now, prequel series House of the Dragon<\/a><\/strong> <\/em>hasn\u2019t got the job done, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms<\/em><\/a>, while both highly entertaining and moving, felt very distinct from the broader franchise because of the nature of the novellas it\u2019s based on. Viewers haven\u2019t loved the slower pace of the series, which chronicles the height of the Targaryen family\u2019s power and descent into civil war over control of the Iron Throne, or its noticeable lack of action. But as the epic \u201cDance of the Dragons\u201d gets nearer, a 97% on the Tomatometer ahead the premiere indicates that Season 3 may just be the best yet. Expect spectacle, brutal battles, shocking tragedy, and dragons galore that come close to recapturing that original feeling. Plus, given how long we had to wait for this batch of episodes (it\u2019s been two years since Season 2<\/a>!) and <\/em>knowing that HotD <\/em>will be ending with Season 4, we\u2019re going to want to soak up all the dragon-filled Westeros vibes we can get before they\u2019re gone.

Where to watch: <\/strong>Bravo (and next-day on Peacock<\/a>)
The Real Housewives of Rhode Island<\/a><\/strong> <\/em>may only be in its inaugural season, but it\u2019s made a huge <\/em>splash, with some fans in the Bravoverse arguing that it\u2019s one of the best-ever first casts\/seasons across the reality TV franchise. Set along the shores of the tiny state and featuring a cast that includes former Bachelor <\/em>star Ashley Iaconetti, beauty queen Kelsey Swanson, financial planner Rulla Nehme Pontarelli, and The Real Housewives of New Jersey<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Dolores Catania as a \u201cfriend of,\u201d the series follows the tried-and-true format and is chock-full of juicy drama in its purest unscripted form that harkens back to the franchise\u2019s earliest days. The two-part reunion kicks off this weekend, delving into the many <\/em>unanswered questions. Most importantly, we\u2019re waiting to hear about Pontarelli\u2019s marital issues, which include whether her husband was still <\/em>cheating on her during the season, and the season cliffhanger about him being charged with a domestic violence misdemeanor for allegedly planting a tracker in her car. In an era of Bravo that fans sometimes critique as overly scripted and self-produced, RHORI <\/em>feels fresh and engaging, and the relationships between the women, many of whom have known each other for decades, feel layered and genuine. It\u2019s undeniably must-see TV.\u00a0
