Keeping the tradition, law enforcement across the state ran the torch through the state to Southern Connecticut State University. The torch came from Bethel just before 12:30 pm and Bethel Police officers met up with Newtown officers, as well as staff from Garner Correctional Institution, at Dodgingtown Market &amp; Deli.<br \/>After restocking ice and water, the Bethel portion of the run was officially over, and the Newtown portion began.
