He later told reporters that a deal could be signed as soon as this weekend.<br \/>Iran\u2019s foreign ministry has reportedly said, \u201cnothing has been finalised\u201d.<br \/>Just hours earlier, Trump had issued <a href=\"\/news\/world\/middle-east\/iran-us-war-trump-ceasefire-tehran-missiles-b2993867.html\">a bombastic warning<\/a>, threatening to seize<a href=\"\/news\/world\/middle-east\/iran-kharg-island-map-oil-trump-war-b2953068.html\"> Kharg Island<\/a>, a strategic hub for oil exports, after striking the country \u201cVERY HARD\u201d.<br \/>The missive came after<a href=\"\/news\/world\/americas\/iran-donald-trump-indian-strait-of-hormuz-kuwait-b2993763.html\"> Iran<\/a> declared the<a href=\"\/news\/world\/middle-east\/trump-bomb-iran-power-plants-peace-deal-b2993302.html\"> ceasefire with Washington<\/a> \u201cpractically meaningless\u201d after US forces fired<a href=\"\/bulletin\/news\/us-strikes-iran-tomahawk-missiles-b2993790.html\"> 49 Tomahawk missiles<\/a> on Wednesday. On Thursday, both sides traded strikes for the second day in a row, leaving a fragile ceasefire in jeopardy.<br \/>Tehran condemned the \u201cillegal and criminal attacks\u201d by the US and warned American leaders would be held responsible.<br \/>Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu&#8217;s office said in a statement after the Israeli leader and Donald Trump spoke that Israel was not a party to the memorandum of \u200cunderstanding with Iran.<br \/>Netanyahu expressed his appreciation for \u200bTrump&#8217;s commitment to securing a deal that includes removing enriched nuclear material, dismantling enrichment \u200cinfrastructure, limiting missile output and ending support for regional proxies, \u200bthe summary showed.<br \/>Tehran has been demanding an end to Israeli attacks in Lebanon, where fighting has continued in a parallel war between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah militants. <br \/>The Iranian foreign ministry has condemned the US strike on a commercial vessel that killed at least three Indian sailors.<br \/>Iran&#8217;s Esmail Baghaei said: &#8220;The brutal US attacks&#8230;
