Marcia Cross\u2014known for starring as Bree Van de Kamp on Desperate Housewives\u2014<\/em>shared a rare selfie on social media ahead of her scheduled appearance at a fan convention for the hit series.
Marcia Cross<\/strong> is giving desperate fans a rare apple.
While the Desperate Housewives<\/em><\/a> alum\u2014who starred as Bree Van de Kamp on the hit ABC series\u2014<\/em>often keeps her social media focused on her career and activism, she shared a close look into her traveling style in a rare selfie.
In a May 28 Instagram post<\/a>, Marcia could be seen smiling for the camera while in an airplane pod seat. For her flight, the 64-year-old wore black-rimmed glasses paired with a gray-colored bucket hat that featured the word "peace."
"Ok! This flight IS taking off!" she captioned the selfie. "See you soon!! #peace."
Although the Melrose Place<\/em> star didn't share specifics on where she was headed, many fans expressed their excitement over seeing her soon. After all, Marcia is set to join several of her Desperate Housewives<\/em> costars, including Nicollete Sheridan<\/strong>, James Denton <\/strong>and Brenda Strong<\/strong>, for The Desperate Con <\/a>in Paris, France on May 30 and 31.
"Can't wait to see you Marcia. French people love you," one fan wrote, while another commented, "Have a safe flight !!! See you there ! I\u2019m looking forward to meet you dear Marcia !"
And while Marcia and her costars will surely be taking a walk down Wisteria Lane and recalling their time starring in the Emmy-winning series at the fan convention, she previously shut down past speculation<\/a> about a Desperate Housewives<\/em> revival.\u00a0
Marcia reacted to an X (then Twitter) post in 2021 about a rumored series at the time, writing, "News to me!!"
Although Marcia has only had positive things to say about her years playing Bree, she's still waiting for the opportunity to portray an iconic character once again.
\u201cI always assumed that after Desperate Housewives<\/em> there will be a third act. It has not happened yet," she shared in 2023, per Variety<\/em><\/a>. "That's the double-edged sword of being an 'icon.' Everybody thinks you are that character and by the time they forget about it, you are not on anybody\u2019s list anymore."
According to the You<\/em> star, she feels that there aren't as many women in their 60s on screen.
"I am at this funny crossroad: I am this incredibly ripe human and yet Hollywood is not particularly interested," she explained. "We are tackling LGBTQ+ issues, although there is still a long way to go, we are talking about people of color, but\u2013and I hate to say it\u2013we don\u2019t love to see older women. We were 40-year-old women doing DH<\/em> and that was a big deal. Now, I want to see 60-year-old women."

Since his eight seasons as Lynette's husband Tom Scavo, Savant has kept busy making the guest-star rounds on TV shows as varied as Criminal Minds, 9-1-1, Lucifer<\/em> and NCIS<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He is married to Melrose Place<\/em> actress Laura Leighton<\/strong>, with whom he shares children Lucy<\/strong> and Jack<\/strong>. Savant also has two kids, Arianna<\/strong> and Madeline<\/strong>, from his first marriage to Dawn Savant<\/strong>.

De La Garza has gotten candid about the hate she received over her appearance while on Desperate Housewives<\/em>, which she said led her to develop an eating disorder.<\/p>\n

"I would spend hours and hours reading comments," she recalled<\/a> on a 2023 episode of the Heart of the Matter<\/em><\/a> podcast. "They said things like they wanted me to die because of what I looked like. It was like, 'Ugly fat cow. And I hope you get cancer and die because you're so fat.' And just horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible things. And this is when I was 6, 7, 8 years old."
"My first memories of trying to starve myself, I was 7 years old," she continued. "A lot of it came from reading those comments. My family had no idea that this was going on. My mom had no idea that I was seeing these things, that I was reading these things, because I was very, very sneaky about it."<\/p>\n

In September 2024, she announced she's expecting a baby<\/a> with Ryan Mitchell<\/strong>. Sadly, the child, a daughter named Xiomara<\/strong>, died later that month after being delivered via an emergency C-section, the actress said the following October.
As Susan's ex-husband Karl Mayer, Burgi's status on the show often fluctuated. Beginning as a recurring guest star in season one, he was promoted to series regular in season two, demoted to guest in three and four, recurring in five and six, and returning as a guest in eight. Shawn Pyfrom
