Compass 2 combines the scalability of an industrial PC for the user interface and path planning with the real-time motion and logic control of Yaskawa\u2019s iC9200 machine controller, providing machine tool builders with a CNC control option for a range of applications.<br \/>Compass 2 is designed for CNC routers and supports G-code processing, macro logic and path planning for production environments. Its block look-ahead and high-speed contouring functions are intended to support sustained feed rates, corner tolerance control and consistent cut quality.<br \/>Machine builders can also customize the user interface to better match specific processes and machine features. With Compass Designer, users can begin with the included example interface or create their own. Compass Designer allows builders to develop a customized CNC HMI as a Windows WPF application without writing C# code. The resulting stand-alone executable includes Compass NC and built-in communications with the iC9200 machine controller.<br \/>Machine tool builders can also create custom G-codes, M-codes and macro programs for functions such as tool changing, probing and canned cycles. PLC integration is supported through the iCube Engineer library and starter project.
