Of this amount, 265 million USD will be prioritized for direct outbreak response efforts in the DRC and Uganda, while 54 million USD will support preparedness activities, surveillance systems, and disease-control capacity-building in high-risk African countries.<br \/>In eastern DRC, the epicenter of the current Ebola outbreak, local authorities have stepped up sanitation and disease prevention measures.
