WASHINGTON, D.C. \u2013 Today, the House Foreign Affairs Committee passed out of markup H.R. 7037,<\/a> the Developing Overseas Mineral Investments and New Allied Networks for Critical Energies (DOMINANCE) Act, a bipartisan bill led by House Foreign Affairs East Asia and Pacific Subcommittee Chairwoman Young Kim (CA-40) and Ranking Member Ami Bera (CA-06). This bill strengthens global critical minerals supply chains and secures America\u2019s energy future with our allies.

\u201cCritical minerals are the foundation of America\u2019s military power, industrial strength, and economic competitiveness. We cannot rely on China for the very materials that underpin our economic and national security,\u201d said Chairwoman Kim. <\/strong>\u201cMy DOMINANCE Act helps lock in President Trump\u2019s critical minerals strategy and counter the CCP\u2019s decades-long chokehold on critical mineral supply chains. I\u2019m proud to see this bill advance out of committee, so we can unleash the next generation of American energy dominance.\u201d
