In 2025, the company <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/technology\/tech-news\/iphone-production-in-india-jumps-53-in-2025-apple-now-assembles-all-versions-of-iphone-in-the-country\/articleshow\/129377415.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ramped up<\/a> iPhone manufacturing in India by more than 50% to 55 million units, or 25% of total output, as it reduced risk from trade fisticuffs between the US and China.<br \/>Securing chips in the US from Santa Clara, California-based Intel and South Korea\u2019s Samsung, which is building an advanced chip plant in Texas,would diversify another part of Apple\u2019s supply chain away from geopolitical risk. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Apple\u2019s longtime chip supplier and partner, is exposed to Beijing\u2019s \u201cone-China principle.\u201d Apple would also have a hedge against <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/wccftech.com\/tsmc-pouring-56-billion-into-new-fabs-admits-shortages-will-drag-into-2027-and-beyond\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">production bottlenecks<\/a> at TSMC, which have been especially onerous amid massive AI demand and highlighted the need for more suppliers. If Samsung and Intel were to become those suppliers, each would score a massive customer, adding to a hot run of deals for Intel:<br \/><strong>Don\u2019t Hold Your Breath: <\/strong>The talks, according to sources who spoke to Bloomberg, are just that. No orders have been placed, considerations are preliminary, and Apple could well call the whole thing off. But, even with Intel\u2019s more than 100% jump last month, the mere news that it was being scouted by Apple drove its shares up 13% to a new record on Tuesday (Samsung also rose 6%).<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailyupside.com\/technology\/big-tech\/amazon-opens-up-its-massive-logistics-network-in-painful-blow-to-ups-and-fedex\/\">Amazon\u2019s supply chain has a long established lane in customs clearance from China to the US, which is very appealing for potential customers. <\/a><br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailyupside.com\/technology\/artificial-intelligence\/anthropic-openai-tap-private-equity-to-boost-ai-adoption\/\">OpenAI&#8217;s joint venture with private equity giants will turn some 2,000 portfolio companies into potential AI adopters. <\/a><br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailyupside.com\/finance\/markets\/graviton-draws-global-spotlight-onto-indias-unicorns\/\">India is home to 120 startups with valuations each topping $1 billion.
