The Class 1A semifinals are scheduled for June 4, followed by the Class 1A third-place game and the Class 2A and 3A semifinals on June 5. The Class 2A and 3A third-place games and all three state championship games will be played June 6.<br \/>Advertisement<br \/>Article continues below this ad<br \/>Edwardsville will try to reach the state tournament for the third time in program history and for the second time in three seasons after finishing fourth in Class 3A in 2024. Father McGivney will be chasing its first state tournament appearance and first state trophy.<br \/>Below is the potential schedule for the Class 3A Tigers and Class 1A Griffins.<br \/><b>Edwardsville\u2019s path<\/b><br \/>The Tigers are the No. 2 seed in the Normal Community Sub-Sectional.<br \/>Advertisement<br \/>Article continues below this ad<br \/>Edwardsville will host its regional and face No. 7 Springfield Southeast in the first round at 5 p.m. May 19. The other semifinal between No. 3 Belleville West and No. 6 Normal Community will follow at 7 p.m.<br \/>The regional championship game is scheduled for 6 p.m. May 22 in Edwardsville.<br \/>The Tigers have won eight straight regional titles.<br \/>The regional champions from Edwardsville, Collinsville, Minooka and Moline will advance to the Normal Community Sectional. The Collinsville Regional and Edwardsville Regional winners will meet in a sectional semifinal May 26.<br \/>Advertisement<br \/>Article continues below this ad<br \/>Edwardsville and O\u2019Fallon have split their last six sectional semifinal meetings, with O\u2019Fallon going on to win a state championship after each of its three victories.<br \/>The sectional championship game is scheduled for 11 a.m. May 30 in Normal.<br \/>Sectional champions from Normal Community and Tinley Park Andrew will meet in the Bloomington Super-Sectional at 6 p.m. June 1, with the winner advancing to the state tournament.<br \/><b>Father McGivney\u2019s path<\/b><br \/>Advertisement<br \/>Article continues below this ad<br \/>The Griffins are the No. 1 seed in their half of the Columbia Sectional and will play in the Breese Central Regional.<br \/>Father McGivney will face the winner of ninth-seeded Metro-East Lutheran and eighth-seeded Salem at 4:30 p.m. May 18 in Breese. The other semifinal will follow between fourth-seeded Mater Dei against sixth-seeded Breese Central.<br \/>The regional championship game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. May 22 in Breese.<br \/>The Griffins have won three straight regional titles, winning those six games by a combined 39-0.<br \/>Advertisement<br \/>Article continues below this ad<br \/>The regional champions from Breese Central, Freeburg, Murphysboro and Althoff will advance to the Columbia Sectional.
