{"id":12980,"date":"2026-04-30T16:02:38","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T16:02:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/globalnewstoday.uk\/index.php\/2026\/04\/30\/birthright-moms-attend-wellness-retreat-thanks-to-leadership-lake-county-news-herald\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T16:02:38","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T16:02:38","slug":"birthright-moms-attend-wellness-retreat-thanks-to-leadership-lake-county-news-herald","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalnewstoday.uk\/index.php\/2026\/04\/30\/birthright-moms-attend-wellness-retreat-thanks-to-leadership-lake-county-news-herald\/","title":{"rendered":"Birthright moms attend wellness retreat thanks to Leadership Lake County &#8211; News-Herald"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>e-Edition<br \/>Sign up for email newsletters<\/p>\n<p>Sign up for email newsletters<br \/>e-Edition<br \/> \t\t\tTRENDING:\t\t<br \/>Birthright Lake, Inc. in Mentor continued its pursuit of supporting and educating mothers with a new program they hope will become an annual event.<br \/>Birthright recently partnered with the Leadership Lake County Signature Class of 2026 to host its inaugural Mothers\u2019 Wellness and Serenity Retreat, a day dedicated to supporting, restoring and uplifting the mothers served by the organization.<br \/>The Central YMCA in Painesville provided space for the April 18 event, and the retreat was designed and implemented by six members of the Signature Class as their year-long service project.<br \/>The free event welcomed Birthright mothers into a peaceful environment centered on wellness, education, relaxation and personal renewal.<br \/>The day\u2019s offerings included guided meditation and relaxation sessions, childcare services, Catholic Charities Help Me Grow information, financial literacy education, CPR certification, vision board creation, self-defense awareness, skin health checks by Apex and self-care experiences.<br \/>Self-care items donated by area businesses were also given to each mom.<br \/>\u201cThis day reminded me that I matter too,\u201d said one participating mother. \u201cBirthright has supported me and my children every step of the way. If people could truly see what they do, they would understand how much it means to families like mine.\u201d<br \/>Birthright Executive Director Janice Silvaroli said watching the mothers experience this day was &#8220;truly meaningful.\u201d<br \/>\u201cThanks to Leadership Lake County, it was more than a day of service, it was a powerful expression of support, dignity and community.\u201d<br \/>Birthright hopes to continue this retreat as an annual tradition, expanding opportunities for mothers to experience care, connection and renewal.<br \/>Community volunteers are welcomed to help support and grow future events.<br \/>\u201cWe are absolutely thrilled that the Leadership Lake County Class of 2026 chose Birthright for this special retreat,\u201d said Christine Price, president of the Birthright board. \u201cIt was a beautiful day, filled with love, care and compassion for our moms, many of whom rarely have the opportunity to focus on themselves. We are so grateful to everyone who made it possible.\u201d<br \/>According to a news release, Birthright continues to experience significant growth in community need, with services increasing by 18 percent this year. In the first quarter, Birthright has assisted 472 mothers and 668 infants and toddlers, providing essential resources and compassionate support to families across the community.<br \/>Birthright will host an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. May 8 for people to tour the facility and see firsthand the impact Birthright is making.
