The Partnership in Music Orchestra (combined Humboldt Symphony and All Seasons Orchestra) is offering two free\u00a0concerts on May 3\u00a0at 2 p.m. at the Eureka Woman\u2019s Club, 1531 J St., Eureka, and on May 10\u00a0at 2 p.m. at Cal Poly Humboldt\u2019s Fulkerson Recital Hall, 1 Harpst St., Arcata).\u00a0The performances are presented by Musical Director\/Conductor Garrick Woods, professor of music at Cal Poly Humboldt, and Concertmaster Holly MacDonell.
Selections include \u201cAn American in Paris Suite\u201d\u00a0by George Gershwin, arranged by John Whitney;\u00a0\u201cRitual Fire Dance\u201d\u00a0by Manuel de Falla;\u00a0\u201cSinfonia Piccola\u201d\u00a0by Hikki Solahti;\u00a0\u201cDie Moldau\u201d\u00a0from Bed\u0159ich Smetana\u2019s \u201cM\u00e1 Vlast\u201d;\u00a0and \u201cThe Sound of Music,\u201d arranged by Robert Bennett.
The public can also look forward to summer concerts coming up in July (to be announced).
Community and student musicians of all ages are invited to join All Seasons Orchestra. Auditions are not required. Regular rehearsals are from 10 a.m. to noon at the Eureka Woman\u2019s Club.\u00a0For prospective student members, the summer schedule is open for musicians.\u00a0If you are interested in joining, contact Don Bicknell at 707-599-4691 or\u00a0don.w.bicknell@gmail.com or go to www.AllSeasonsOrchestra.org.
Also, for the Winter 2026 semester, student musicians are offered a chance to play in the Cal Poly Humboldt Symphony. Students can enroll in the class: MUS 1060\/4060. An informal audition is required for class enrollment. Cal Poly Humboldt musicians who enroll in these two classes automatically become members of All Seasons Orchestra.
