BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — The city of Oroville is considering a Health Services Overlay (HS-O), aiming to expand access to healthcare services within the community.
City officials said the proposed overlay would keep existing zoning in place while adding flexibility to support medical, wellness and support services.
They added that it’s designed to reduce permitting barriers, in addition to encouraging services near Oroville Hospital and improving coordination between providers.
This overlay would apply along and around the Foothill Boulevard corridor, including about 120 parcels.
The planning commission hearing is scheduled for April 23, with city council consideration anticipated in May.
