Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware (Wilmington, Del.) is set to open its new Institute for Maternal Fetal Health this spring in Wilmington, according to a news release.
The facility will bring together advanced neonatal and maternity services under one roof, including prenatal diagnosis, imaging, fetal treatment, delivery, and newborn care.
The project comprises a 12-bed labor and delivery unit with three fetal operating rooms, as well as a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and cardiac intensive care unit, according to delawareonline.com.
Future phases will add an advanced delivery unit, expand the NICU, and introduce a psychosocial support program.
