The Arcadia University Shoulder Research Center is recruiting participants with shoulder pain and between the ages of 18-65 for a series of paid research studies ($50-$125 for 1.5-4 hours, split between 1-3 sessions) to assess brain activity in response to either neuromuscular electrical stimulation or pain-relieving injections.
If you have shoulder pain and are between the ages of 18-65 you may qualify for this study.
The research team will ask you some additional questions and perform a shoulder screen to determine your eligibility in this study. Testing will involve measuring your shoulder strength and brain activity using a safe, non-invasive device called Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
The data collection will be completed in the Shoulder Research Center, located in Room 103 of the Health Sciences Building at Arcadia University.  Participation in this study is voluntary and you may withdraw at any time by informing us. Compensation will be provided immediately following completion of the studies.
If you agree to participate, the procedures will be explained before any testing takes place and you will be given an opportunity to ask questions. Next, you will read a consent form and will be asked to sign it if you agree to participate.
Please contact the primary investigator, Dr. Jeffrey Paskewitz, at jpaskewitz@arcadia.edu if you are interested or want further information.
