Galt aldermen pass leak adjustment policy, delay bid review – KTTN

The Galt Board of Aldermen approved an ordinance establishing a policy for water and wastewater leak adjustments during its March 16 meeting. Board members also voted to table the review of bids until a future meeting. No additional details were provided regarding those bids.
City Clerk Mercedes Scobee outlined a training schedule for newly hired city employee Kyle Fordyce, who has been working on filling potholes across city streets.
Scobee also addressed plans for fire hydrant maintenance, which will include pressure washing and repainting hydrants throughout the community.
Maintenance work has been completed on the city’s skid steer, though mechanics raised questions concerning the delivery of certain city equipment.
The city’s booster station start-up was scheduled for March 18 and March 19.
Board members discussed ongoing complaints related to trash service, as well as questions regarding the upcoming municipal election.
Scobee reported that the April election will include a write-in ballot. She previously indicated that two alderman-at-large positions are open and will be filled through write-in candidates.
During the meeting, Board Member Jason Grindstaff requested information on total revenue generated from sales and use taxes since implementation. Scobee reported that, since October, sales tax revenue has reached $1,673.43, while use tax revenue totals $950.79.
