NORMAN — OU women’s basketball coach Jennie Baranczyk and the Sooners are dancing for the fifth consecutive season.
The Sooners are a No. 4 seed facing the No. 13 seed Idaho Vandals in the first round of the NCAA women’s basketball tournament on Friday at Lloyd Noble Center. OU is hosting first- and second-round games for the second straight season.
The Sooners are led by All-American Raegan Beers and ESPN’s national freshman of the year Aaliyah Chavez. The two were both All-SEC selections with Beers named to the First Team for the second consecutive season and Chavez to the Second Team as a freshman.
This is OU’s 26th NCAA Tournament appearance.

Oklahoma 93, Idaho: 63: Idaho is headed to its first NCAA Tournament since 2016 after winning the Big Sky. But the Sooners will be too much for the Vandals to handle. OU owns the second-highest scoring starting five in the country and is on pace to break the school record for offense. Wouldn’t surprise me if the Sooners dropped 100.
