KFVE on Spectrum: How to fix a stuck EAS crawl – Hawaii News Now

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Some Hawaii News Now viewers saw an Emergency Alert System (EAS) message crawl stuck on their television screens while watching KFVE Friday.
The crawl appears to be caused by an issue with some Spectrum cable boxes. Hawaii News Now is not sending the alert causing the stuck crawl.
Viewers who are experiencing the problem are advised to reboot their cable boxes by unplugging them from power for at least 30 seconds, then plugging them back in.
KFVE is available on Spectrum channels 6 and 1006.
