The Department of Diplomacy at National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taiwan, has announced an international academic recruitment opportunity for a full-time faculty position in International Relations, commencing in August 2027.
The university seeks qualified academics specialising in International Relations and/or Area Studies, particularly Northeast Asian or Southeast Asian studies. Applicants with research and teaching expertise in Technology Governance will receive particular consideration.
Candidates nearing completion of their doctoral studies may also apply, provided they obtain their PhD at least one month before the commencement of the appointment.
The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s academic programmes through undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, scholarly publications and wider academic engagement. The appointed faculty member will be expected to teach courses and publish academic research in English.
National Chengchi University is a recognised higher education institution in Taiwan, with established academic strengths in international politics, diplomacy and Area Studies. Its academic programmes span the humanities, social sciences and business disciplines, attracting scholars and students interested in regional and international affairs.
Through this recruitment initiative, the Department of Diplomacy seeks to strengthen its existing academic expertise while expanding research and teaching in areas relevant to contemporary international relations, regional developments and emerging technology governance.
