The Marlins announced that catcher/first baseman Liam Hicks has been placed on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to June 20) due to a lower back strain. Catcher Brian Navarreto was selected from Triple-A to take Hicks’ spot on the active roster, and Miami moved Josh Ekness from the 15-day IL to the 60-day IL to open a spot for Navaretto on the 40-man roster.
More to come…
Dang it! I picked him up off the waiver wire at the start of the season and he has done nothing but produce for my fantasy team. Very important for the Marlins this year.
