Members of The Lawton Underground and coordinators of the Juneteenth Unity Exchange black business expo, Lisa Willis and Sharmain Cooper, pose together at the second annual expo. The event had 40 vendors including Inspiration Ministries, fire trucks from the Lawton Fire Department, local and traveling performers, and event teaching segments, Cooper said. “Events like these are for the Black community to be seen, felt and heard. We want a safe space for them to thrive with their businesses, stay educated and learn networking.”
Local business Souliegh’s Closet joined in at the Unity Exchange Black Business Expo held at the VFW Post 5263 on Saturday.
