Kenner Discovery started fast and didn’t let up in a 26-1 boys/co-ed bowling victory over East Jefferson Tuesday at Bowlero Kenner.
The Swamp Owls swept each of the first two games and finished with a 2,814 team series.
Adriel Alberto had a middle-game 234 to pace Kenner Discovery (8-4), which also got a pair of big final games from Abdullah Cheema (214) and Gavin Lewis (211).
Devan Navarre’s 400 series led East Jefferson (1-10).
Kenner Discovery entered Tuesday 18th in the LHSAA Division II power rankings, two spots out of the playoffs.
Pope John Paul II 17½, De La Salle 9½: The Jaguars got their first win of the season, defeating the Cavaliers at Bowling USA in Slidell.
Jonathan Lala opened with a 227 game and finished with a 593 series to lead Pope John Paul (1-9).
Kayden Naredo had a 147 final game and delivered three points for De La Salle (0-9).
Lenny was involved in college athletics starting in the early 1980s, when he began working Tulane University sporting events while still attending Archbishop Rummel High School. He continued that relationship as a student at Loyola University, where he graduated in 1987.
