This segment dismantles the SpaceX mythology and explains why space exploration must serve the commons, not billionaire extraction.
Mainstream media too often launders billionaire ideology as neutral expertise, and this segment challenges that mythology head-on. Professor Janna Levin’s CNN appearance repeated the familiar fallacy that private industry takes the bold risks while government merely follows. That framing erases NASA’s public mission, taxpayer-funded innovation, and the long history of government-led discovery that made private space profits possible in the first place.
The real issue is not whether private firms can build useful systems. They can. The issue is whether corporate media should rewrite history to portray billionaires as civilization’s prime movers. Public money, public science, and public workers built the platform. The people deserve the dividend.
