Amy Adams is sharing why she could never star on Love Island.
The actress, who is a fan of the reality dating series, said the show "gives me a lot of anxiety" because it's her "personal nightmare."
She noted that she's not a fan of socializing with strangers in bikinis like Love Island requires.
Well, we know one bombshell who won’t be entering the Love Island USA villa anytime soon.
While visiting The Tonight Show on Monday, avid Love Island enjoyer Amy Adams opened up about all the reasons why she could never star on the summer dating show.
“That show’s really fun to watch, but it gives me a lot of anxiety because it’s like my personal nightmare,” Adams explained to host Jimmy Fallon. “Strangers. Socializing. Bikinis. Sun.”
The Enchanted actress also pointed out an interesting detail about the Peacock series that others may not have spotted.
“There’s just like, no shade. Does anyone notice there’s no shade on the show?” she asked. “I would just be like running around with zinc oxide being like, ‘You’re looking a little crispy!’”
But, as Adams noted, her concern for the other contestants and their health might actually benefit her chances on the show. “I would win,” she teased.
The eighth season of Love Island USA kicked off on June 2, with new episodes dropping every single day except Wednesdays and Sundays. Its cast includes nurses, handymen, and a former Pennsylvania police officer whose mayor wasn’t exactly thrilled that he quit the force to star on the series.
Another reason Adams likely wouldn’t star on the dating series is that she’s married to her husband, Darren Le Gallo. The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, have been together for over 20 years and share a daughter named Aviana.

While she might not be staying in the villa, Adams did confirm on The Tonight Show that she is headed to a galaxy far, far away. The actress will star in the upcoming Shawn Levy-directed Star Wars film, titled Star Wars: Starfighter, alongside Ryan Gosling, Mia Goth, Matt Smith, and Aaron Pierre.
“These rumors are true,” Adams said. “That’s about all I can tell you is that I’m in it.”
She described the opportunity to join the beloved franchise as “a total dream come true” for her. “The whole universe, I was a huge fan,” Adams said, noting that she was “totally obsessed” and had “all the toys” as a child.
Naturally, though, she kept mum on the details surrounding the film’s premise and her character.
“I can’t tell you anything. I just love the universe,” she said. “It’s like, George Lucas… He and Steven Spielberg in the ‘70s when I was growing up — I just dated myself, but whatever — they just open your mind. They’re so creative and inspiring and good versus evil.”
