*The entertainment world delivered a mix of concern, controversy, and celebration this week. Olympic legend Simone Biles revealed she recently endured a terrifying health scare, Chris Brown entered a legal battle over custody of his young daughter, and Paramount’s “Scary Movie” stunned the industry with a franchise-record box office debut.
Simone Biles left fans concerned after revealing she nearly died during a recent health scare.
The decorated gymnast shared the news Saturday on her Instagram Story, offering few details about the medical emergency but making clear the experience deeply affected her.
“Almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card earlier this week,” Biles wrote.
The 11-time Olympic medalist and 30-time world championship medalist said she was resting at home and would explain more about the incident at a later date.

RECENT News
Biles described the ordeal as “one of, if not the scariest experience of my life,” noting that her husband, Jonathan Owens, was away in Indianapolis practicing with his Indianapolis Colts teammates when it happened.
In her post, Biles thanked friends for flowers and well wishes. She also shared photos showing a bouquet, her dogs and a heart monitor, offering a glimpse into her recovery.
While details remain limited, the revelation quickly sparked concern among fans eager to learn more about her condition and recovery.
Singer Chris Brown is fighting for joint custody of his 4-year-old daughter, Lovely Symphani Brown, after Diamond Brown asked a Los Angeles court to award her sole legal and physical custody.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Diamond requested that Brown receive visitation rights rather than shared custody.
Brown has responded by seeking joint legal and physical custody of their daughter. He is also asking that both parties cover their own legal expenses, while Diamond has requested that Brown pay the legal costs associated with the case.
The custody battle follows weeks of public tension between the parents.
Diamond previously accused Brown on social media of attempting to intimidate her new boyfriend despite Brown reportedly being in a new relationship himself. The dispute escalated when Brown’s girlfriend, Jada Wallace, accused Diamond of keeping Lovely away from her father.
The online feud continued when Diamond later suggested she was prepared to confront Wallace.
The legal proceedings come during a busy chapter in Brown’s personal life. He and Wallace recently welcomed a baby boy in late April. Brown is also father to Royalty Brown, whom he shares with former model Nia Guzman, and Aeko Catori Brown, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Ammika Harris.
Paramount’s “Scary Movie” scored a major victory at the box office, earning $55 million in its opening weekend and setting a new franchise record.
The horror-comedy exceeded expectations and surpassed the previous opening-weekend benchmark established by 2006’s “Scary Movie 4,” which debuted with $49.7 million.
Fueled by nostalgia, positive word-of-mouth and continued audience enthusiasm for horror, the sixth installment has quickly become one of the summer’s biggest surprises.
The film was produced on a reported $30 million budget and has already generated $105.5 million worldwide across 53 markets.
“This is an outstanding opening for a comedy sequel this far into its series,” said David A. Gross, publisher of the box office newsletter FranchiseRe.
Gross also noted that the film represents a significant rebound for the franchise after the previous installment struggled commercially following the absence of longtime stars Anna Faris and Regina Hall.
“Scary Movie” was joined atop the box office by fellow horror entries “Backrooms” and “Obsession,” creating a rare horror trifecta that resonated strongly with younger audiences.
From a frightening health emergency involving one of the world’s most celebrated athletes to a high-profile custody dispute and a surprise box office triumph, this week’s entertainment headlines showcased the personal and professional highs and lows that continue to captivate audiences. As fans await more details from Biles, the outcome of Brown’s custody case and the continued success of “Scary Movie” remain stories to watch.
