Minnesota: Group against casino near Moorhead warns about gambling addiction concerns – CDC Gaming

There’s a group opposed to White Earth Nation building a casino near Moorhead.
On The Flag, Glen Urlacher with Say No To The Casino At Moorhead believes there are plenty of entertainment options and restaurants in the Fargo-Moorhead area and the casino will only lead to people getting addicted to gambling.
“There are generational costs. Family break-ups cause costs for years and years down the road,” Urlacher said.
Sheriff Mark Empting told Flag Family News he wasn’t consulted for the study commissioned by the tribe showing a need of a $1.4 million dollar increase for public safety and other government services.
