Rupaul’s Drag Race bringing “Werq The World News” to Wilmington – WECT | TV6

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) has announced that a new live “Rupaul’s Drag Race” production is making a stop in the Cape Fear region.
According to CFCC, the “RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq The World Tour” 10th anniversary show is coming to the Wilson Center in Wilmington early next year.
“Over the past decade, “Werq The World” has become the largest and most successful drag tour in the world, bringing “RuPaul’s Drag Race” stars to audiences across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and beyond,” CFCC said.
Attendees can expect a concert-style performance with intense choreography that features live reports in weather, sports, entertainment, breaking news and more.
The show will be hosted by Asia O’Hara as “Anchorma’am Asia O’Hara” and features “RuPaul’s Drag Race” favorites, including:
“WTWN 10: Werq The World News” is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 11, 2027, at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets go on sale to Wilson Center Members on Tuesday, May 26, at 10 a.m. and to the public on Friday, May 29, at 10 a.m.
