Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk addressed the accusations and claims leveled against her in the wake of her husband’s death.
“I have comedians dressing up in whiteface,” Kirk said, appearing to reference the comedian Druski. “I have people saying I’m not fit to be CEO. And I have Candace Owens claiming I murdered my husband. And the list goes on and on and on.”
Kirk also revealed she planned to take some time off and spend it with her family.
Owens, who has repeatedly spoken about Kirk on her podcast, denied Kirk’s allegations.
On Saturday, the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner was abruptly cut short after an armed man opened fire at agents just outside the ballroom at the hotel.
Cole Thomas Allen, the 31-year-old suspect, was arrested and charged with attempting to assassinate the president of the United States.
President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance were escorted out by the Secret Service. Kirk was also seen rushing out while crying. She took to social media on Monday, saying she is “taking time to spend time with my family” following the “traumatic” incident.
Saturday was yet another traumatic example of the evil in our country and the continued rise in political violence. I’m taking time to spend with my family.

I will be joining The Charlie Kirk Show Wednesday at 12PM ET to briefly address what took place. Enough is enough.
“Our country has become unrecognizable,” Kirk said on the podcast.
“These people have perverted the truth to the point that they motivated the murder of my husband. They’ve continuously tried to assassinate the president. And anyone who stands in their way is labeled hateful, racist, fascist and every other trigger word that is grossly dishonest.”
Vance and Kirk also postponed their scheduled visit to Iowa State University for a TPUSA campus tour event on Thursday until fall 2026.
TPUSA said this change “is not due to security concerns” related to the recent shooting but “simply a matter of scheduling conflicts,” as Iowa State Daily reported.
Kirk also apologized for missing her an appearance at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, on Wednesday night, and instead spoke to students through a video message conveying appreciation for their support.
The event was a part of TPUSA’s Make Heaven Crowded Tour.
