I Am Enough 5K and Fun Run for Women’s Health takes place this Saturday, May 2 at the St. Cloud Lakefront Check in begins at 5:30 a.m. with the race beginning at 7 a.m. The morning will also feature music, games, giveaways and more.
This race is presented by Key Life Cares, whose mission is to support women’s health and wellness, providing vital resources, education and financial assistance for those in need. The I Am Enough 5k fee, for ages 8 and up is $50. If you would like to contribute virtually, the cost is $35. To register, go to www.keylifecares.org.
Celebrate Building Safety Month at Birdy Buffet Workshop on Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the St. Cloud Home Depot, 4500 13th St. Hosted by the City of St. Cloud Building Department and Home Depot, this free family event features activities for kids, like the Home Depot’s Kids Workshop, where they can build their own keepsake box. Special guests include Sparky the Fire Dog from St. Cloud Fire Rescue and Sammy the Sandhill Crane. Take this opportunity to connect with the City’s Building Department to learn about building safety, permits, inspections and resources. Celebrate St. Cloud’s history with St. Cloud Main Street and the Historic Preservation Awards and Celebration on Tuesday, May 12th from 6-8 p.m. at the G.A.R. Memorial Hall (1101 Massachusetts Ave.) Special guest speaker will be Melissa Wyllie, CEO and President of the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation. Enjoy an Italian meal as well.
